  5. You should know that cheap Olive oil is really canola oil. Big Industry scam. Real Olive oil doesn't taste greasy and is expensive; typically found at Specialty Foods Stores. You can actually drink real olive oil. So that Costco junk Olive oil is toxic too like the canola because that's what it is.

  6. Yeah, but the unsaturated fats in the olive oil will burn and oxidize because they are unstable fats. So you will get some pro inflammatory pathways if you heat the olive oil too high, such as a deep fat fry. A sautee is fine, but it shouldn't be smoking. Butter and ghee are much more stable fats resistant to oxidization.
