Dr Greger's smile in the thumbnail 😁😁😁
There is something about his tone. Sleazy. Unctuous. What a macabre little man!
Great content. Thank you.
Another awesome video thanks Mic.. Wish he was my Dr…
I find the assertion that dairy does not cause leaching of the bones because of the lowered ph caused by the BCAs to be somewhat suspect. Yes, as Dr G notes marker tracing shows that the urine calcium is coming from the muscles instead of the bones. But this still implies an overall calcium deficit which could easily cause a continued osmotic preasure away from the bones. This might be considered a more indirect loss. In any case, the loss of calcium from the muscles strikes me as a strongly suspect factor in sarcopenia. As a 72 year old this strikes me as particularly alarming.. So I guess I better get myself to the gym.
What does this "'Dr" eat? What drug is he on, prescription or street type?
So it's ZERO OIL in cooking?
Does this mean that FAT should be eaten withIn a whole food and not added as oil in your meal?
Not going to concede that for some people high fiber diets just don't work for their gut, no matter what they try?
It's not "ex-vegans," it's "ex-plant based people."
Bananas the big yellow ones are man made the sugar content is thru the roof.
Great video. Thanks, Mic. One thing: "vegan" isn't just a diet, it's a lifestyle decision based on the justice, compassion, and morality of not harming others. Plant-based is for you, vegan is for everyone.
Wait, did Mic the Vegan say (at 8:24 min) that plant-based protein powders suck all the calcium out of your bones? That doesn’t sound good.
I like the point about plant based healthy persons being "shining examples" for doctors!
Ayurveda's individual approach helps people who are still getting sick on a plant based diet. Chronobiological effects are well documented also.
The part about how hot dogs increase your risk of colon cancer an amount that is analogous to the increase in risk of lung cancer from smoking is interesting. I remember hearing stories from relatives about my great grandmother who died of colon cancer, definitely not how I want die.
Greger bustin moves while he talk, lol legend.
What is the comment about taking a protein powder that leaches all the calcium out of your bones?
It's not just what you eat, it's when you eat.
Vegans have lower levels of Ubiquinol.Among 100 other things
But why do you both look pastey, pale? Just wondering…where’s the rosy cheeks?

Would LOVE to eat like this & be healthier. Why doesn't any one lay out the cost of eating in this matter?? I make less than $40,000 & with all my other bills in life, NO way I can afford to eat like this. You should come to Richmond Va & show me how. I DO NOT HAVE A CLUE. PLEASE

Flax seeds I never eat, my diet has no detriments to testosterone production and Canola Oil is great for penetration, just do not want that for my bones so I'll pass.
That dr is too funny 😂
Some times I don't have 30 min to watch the whole thing. chapter markers would be very useful.
Dr. Gregor on a treadmill is SUPER distrcting. Wtf? Please, never again. It's extremely triggering for Asperger's people like me. Sit the phok down for the few minutes necessary. Please.
What about coconut oil?
Thank you both for all the great information!! ❤️

I think if your gonna get on a treadmill you probly need a fully body cam so its not just your head bobbing around the whole time 😛
Although I really enjoy your channel, and although I very much respect this doctor’s written work, I found this particular video frustrating. It’s just my opinion. I think it was the “jumpiness” of the doctor, who came across (to me) as being almost manic in his delivery. Thoughts not completed, subjects jumped over or touched upon briefly but then dismissed with a laugh. Hard to digest. *It’s wise to squeeze exercise in were you can, but please – not during an important interview. I’m glad I hung in there until the end, as it got better near the very end, once the doctor seemed to enter the “cool down” phase of his workout.
Check out Dr. Greger’s birthday post on his personal instagram page. He looks 65. That’s all you need to know. Cholesterol is the precursor to testosterone. Mic the vegan uses filters to look less aged and acts like he’s on speed. They never talk about soybean oil only saturated fat. Here some advice that they will never tell you: take 20,000 iu of vitamin d3 and you will hardly ever get sick. 2,000 iu a day is bullshit and barley raises blood levels and they wonder why we need a vaccine when most people are vitamin d deficient.
The picture of health never looked so terrible
"We domesticated bananas to make them as a-peeling as possible"- 25:00– really Dr. Greger, you thought you could slip that one by us?
Fun fact!
We are not herbivores
Dr. Greger has to keep moving on that treadmill because he will fall over if he stays still. His vegan diet is tearing his body apart.
That beard tho💯💯💯🥺😂
He’s on his treadmill again!
22:38 Talking about fruit and the safety and benefits of 23 servings per day.
23:34 Mic talks about his problems with eating bananas. This is not because he cannot tolerate a certain amount of bananas, it's because he likely has problems with his adrenal glands and or pancreas. So many doctors, nutritionists and people into health don't understand that we come to our better diets with much less than perfectly working bodies. In fact, we almost always inherit a poor body from our parents. And so combine that with the poor diets of today filled with cooked foods, chemicals and hormones, etc. and you get the sick bodies and obesity epidemic you see these days.
For instance, virtually everyone on the planet these days has weakness in the adrenal glands and kidneys. And just changing to a better diet almost never fixes that problem. Here's is where intervention with herbs and other detox protocols can fix the problem. When Mic's adrenals (and or pancreas) are fixed or regenerated he'll suddenly be able to eat as much fruit as he cares for without issue.
So the assumption that "it doesn't work for me" is almost always that some organ or system in the body is not working. At least when it comes to our natural diet which is raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds etc. Our natural diet is natural for us but it's our sickness which often makes it seem like we can't tolerate eating foods that should are natural for the human species to eat in abundance.
I've seen this over and over again with my own deep healing clients.
Don't legumes and nuts/seeds have leucine?
I have NEVER met a TRUE Ethical Vegan or Vegetarian who decided to consume animal flesh again.
Health Veg(etari)ans and Environmental Veg(etari)ans, yes. (and some FAKE Ethical Veg(etari)ans)
But never someone who has expanded their consciousness and levels of nonviolence and compassion and empathy and kindness and caring and decency for ALL animals to the point of being a TRUE Ethical Veg(etari)an, and then one day saying, "Screw it. I don't believe in that crap anymore."
It does NOT happen.
Which is why it does happen to Health and Environmental Veg(etari)ans, because they are not doing it for the best reasons. Especially Health, because that is self-oriented.
It boggles the mind that he would do an interview on a treadmill.
Great interview with many useful tips. The best thing came at the very end – the timing and size of meals really matters through the day. I've eaten small breakfasts and large dinners for decades, partly because I never felt hungry until close to midday. I went vegan a few months ago, and recently I've found the pattern starting to change, so I feel hungry very early in the morning, and this tapers off through the day, though it does vary a bit.
The good doctor's advice about loading the calories towards the earlier part of the day makes sense, so I will now consciously make sure to eat a large breakfast, a smaller lunch, and eat less for dinner.
Many sources also recommend allowing at least 12 hours break between dinner and breakfast, to allow the digestive system to rest – and of course a lot of the repair and maintenance work is done during sleep, so that's also good advice for optimal health.
