If supplements don't work (I agree) what about the prescription pills that Doctors PUSH?
Been a strict plant based eater for over 2 years. Sometimes I would lack the energy that I want so occasionally I take a good multi vitamin/mineral supplement and it perks me up. I understand that much of the agriculture business soils have been depleted of essential trace minerals from the soils. So the plants dont have the punch that they are capable of. So a supplement helps me. Eating wild foods from the forest certainly carry that nutritional punch.

Vit C supplements have proved to be beneficial for your health with many studies supporting this fact. It is the medical profession that is in denial!

Bone broth and collagen supplements are trash. There are key foods that when consumed provides collagen not consuming collagen.
There are a lot of bullshit supplements out there however don't throw the baby out with the bath water!
I agree most supplements are a total waste of money. But having said that some supplements are very good and work very well . For example I take a vit b complex every day if fact 3 or 4 a day because the food today is full of neurotoxing that affect your nervous system and use up all your b vitamins. And I can tell when I dont take them and some days I need more than others depending on what I have eaten.

I think this information (yes I’m vegan…) is a tad vague due to people requiring various supplements for various reasons. Some are effective with science backed evidence, some have higher requirements. I’d recommend always a blood test and visit to a dietician. My list of supplements include (and not for everyone):
Athletics green powder
Saffron
Vitamin b12
Vitamin D
Reason I need these supplements are, calorie restriction for weight loss, daily exercise of weight training, vegan, depression and live in Canada indoors all day (COVID-19)
B12 and vit D is commonly talked about as a deficiency but what's hardly ever talked about Is boron and iodine
However, vegans are likely to need B12, maybe D, possibly omega 32s, possibly iron…
Probiotics have done wonders for me but only high quality frozen bottles and taking on empty stomach.

What they say is true , but there is a huge difference between Supplement and supplement. For example a Raw beetroot powder is a supplement but it is worth it , or a barley grass powder, Spirulina, MACA, Fenugreek powder. If you are an athlete, Pea protein powder, Rice protein powder ETC, And fortunately there is a few company who make really good whole plant based (vegan) multivitamins , like Naturelo. (https://naturelo.com/) First food, you should eat a variety fresh food. Greens, charts, Legumes, seeds, Fruit and vegetables. And you supplement it , if you need. Like if you are have goal, or you are an athlete ETC. Not all the supplement are bad, but I have to say that on the market the majority for the supplements is unhealthy and some of them is quite expensive.

I suggest you get a micronutrient blood test before you supplement. You should not take anything your body doesn’t need.
Bullshit. There is plenty of studies about the potential benefits from Supplements. Per exemple. EU recognized the Passion Flower extract as effective as the Oxyzepam. Also The St-John's Wort, considered in EU, as effective as medium strenght anti-depressants. Saw Palmento extract supplement act as a medium strenght DHT blocker effective for Baldness. Proved many times. Another Exemple is Melatonine for sleep problems. It's recommanded by doctors all around the world. Please stop your disinformation. I'm reporting you big time.
