Trust me, that is one DIY you’ll want to discover ways to do! A fake tree can value masses of bucks AND a truly just right one can value EVEN MORE!
Today, I’m sharing how I DIY’d this fake tree… and fascinated with underneath $50! Our tree used to be round 12 toes tall, so it might no doubt be scaled down if you are searching for one thing somewhat smaller.
The a laugh factor about making your individual fake tree is the chances are actually unending. I went with a man-made Ficus tree glance, however an olive could have been a detailed 2d!
A FEW TIPS:
-The higher high quality your leaves, the extra lifelike your tree will glance
– Turning and twisting every fake stem rather will give an overly herbal glance for your stems
-Rub your leaves with a tiny little bit of olive oil if you need them to polish somewhat (I did not do that, however have observed it!)
-End as many branches/pointers with a leaf/stem as you’ll be able to (the ficus have the ones droopy leaves, easiest for a ficus!)
-Trim off any twigs/stems now not applied after all. Careful, Don’t take TOO a lot off!

I just found this video while looking for ideas to create my own trees. Thanks for this idea. The tree looks gorgeous.
That took a lot of work and patience! This is the first time I’ve seen anyone do this! The work was well worth it! Looks so real!
Oh, my gosh—this turned out stunning!! I first thought y’all had chopped off a fully leafed-out tree branch and drug it in the house. I want an olive tree so bad, and I wonder how it would be to make one of those. We live in the Arizona desert, and I don’t have any idea what what I could use for the branches. I guess I could cut a mesquite branch, but they have these horrendous thorns. Maybe I’ll just buy a rubber tree! lol
This is beautiful. You should be proud!! Great job!! ❤️
The tree looks beautiful.
Wow!
I love this! Branches dry out quite quickly how has it been with the heating on etc?
Sooooooo AWESOME! I cut branches from my yard too.
Wow!!!! That looks amazing!! I’m going to try to make my own tree.
🤩sehr schön geworden super 👍🏼
You're amazing. Thanks for sharing your beautiful ideas.
It’s nice but the only thing I was waiting for was how to “ cure” the tree branches before decorating it because I’ve seen dead trees full of ants..
GENIUS
Can you remake a thrift store artifical tree.
Your tree is so beautiful and realistic. I want to do an Aspen.
You did a spectacular job!!! I'm SO jealous and wish I had your tree!!! I've been wanting to fill a corner and can't find what I'm looking for. Until I saw your tree. Sigh. Hope I find the big branch to start the project, I'll keep my eyes peeled! Thanks SO much, you've really inspired me!!!!
You did a great job!
I’m soooo in love with your pot here! Where did you get it?! 😍 your tree looks stunning!
Ahhhhmazing!! Thank you so much for sharing this! Your tree is fantastic!!
Beautiful! I actually had a very similar idea about 3 years ago. I still have my branches attached in the kitchen but I never managed to find anything suitable enough (few faux options in Sweden to be honest and most are expensive), so I just have my tree. But i really wanna do something with it eventually, maybe even with diamonds hanging on it. Thank you for this amazing tutorial, sparked some thoughts!
Beautiful
I can just hear my husband screaming at me if I even dared to bring in something that big from the outside into our home! LOL
In the past he needed a stiff drink just for a couple of 3ft branches that I cut down and brought in on my own for an Easter tree. Good gravy.
How the heck do you dust THAT?
I loved how you did the tree. Thank you for sharing.
It looks sooo good… great job ♥️
Absolutely beautiful! Great job 👏🏽
I would have to do a price comparison before I took this project on. I’m sure your $50ish dollars in leaves is still much less than a store bought ficus tree would be. But the beautiful huge pot would be quite pricey to buy and difficult to find at a yard sale. But it was a gorgeous outcome when you were finished! You have a great eye and I am enjoying your channel, which I just found when I was searching for back porch flooring ideas.
Did you need to do anything to the trunk or branches? Such as seal it in some way?
