  1. Is cleansing “gel” oil based? I ordered this cerave one but didn’t know it was the cleansing gel until i got it & do you have to use a toner with this procedure?

  2. I double cleanse using a cleansing oil from ulta then cleanse with clean and clear night time face wash. I have been double cleansing for 2 years now and it is the most effective way for me to take off my makeup and have clean skin. I just bought Ponds cold cream fragrance free today and am going to try it out as it is a good value and I bought it at cvs for 8 dollars. Time to see if it works on my oily combination skin! The first cleansing oil I got was a gift and it was DHC brand, olive oil cleansing oil. Ponds is a third of the price so I can't wait to see if it works for my skin. Thanks for showing how to use it. I wash my face over the sink so I will have to buy wash cloths. Thanks again for your video! It helps a lot.

  3. Out of curiosity, how do people get the film fron ponds off their skin? I feel like even after I wash it with another cleanser it doesn't totally wash off. I have never found ponds to emulsify? Am I doing it wrong?

  4. I'm so happy you explain everything in detail and go over questions. I've been trying to oil cleanse for a couple weeks on and off (jojoba) but each time after i rinse, my rosacea burns. My skin feels soft but so irritated. I thought maybe it's not for rosacea, but seems it's just me then. 🙁

  5. I use mineral oil (lubricant laxative) as my first step and then wash it all off with hada labo hyaluronic acid face wash for my second step. This combination has worked really well for me, but I have been thinking of getting a cleansing oil just to compare effectiveness. Hopefully I don’t get attached; mineral oil is so cheap that I don’t even have to think about how much I use. Only $2.19 for 16 oz at Target!!

  6. I started using the double cleanse method using your suggestions. I even purchased the Kose double cleanser and follow that with a mild Cereve cleanser afterwards. I am noticing very tiny little whiteheads that I never used to get before. Is that normal? I’m starting Tretinoin soon as well.

  7. i double cleanse more than 2 years. before i started, my t zone and forehead was super oily and the rest of is normal-dry. now i have calm skin and it is not oily at all. my cheeks are getting dry sometimes but most of the time it looks normal

  8. I was so fed up of the eye burning, until just recently. I started using Kryolan makeup remover, the one in the flat dish. It feels oily and it’s really good at removing waterproof eye makeup, even eyelash glue. (I sometimes wear them on stage). I follow with cerave and I do also feel the need to use a cleansing bar, so maybe I am not rinsing enough at the sink, or the water is too cool, thank you.

  9. I watched the other video on double cleansing and decided to try the Hada Labo oil but I found it drying. I have mature, dry to combo skin. I had been using micellular water without eye symptoms so may resume or try one of the balms. My favorite 2nd step cleanser is Mad Hippies creamy cleanser.

  10. hey i wanted to buy the elf cleaning balm to take off makeup, but idk if it’s that good of ingredients ik it has a little bit of fragrance but it’s at the bottom. should i still use it?

  11. Best routine I learned from Dr Dray was using the Neutrogena fragrance free body oil very cost-effective lasts a long time. And the the cerve face wash or the Neutrogena oat face cleanser. Works like a charm taking off sunscreen and makeup.

  12. I can’t find the Neutrogena oil anymore, which is too bad because I have loved using it since I saw you mention it in another video.

  13. I can’t find the Neutrogina oil anymore, which is too bad because I have loved using it since I saw you mention it in another video. 😔

Also do NOT use coconut oil or you will soon have clogged sink pipes. Ask me how I know! Remember, coconut oil is hard at colder temperatures and the water that comes through your pipes is now always warm, causing clogging.

  14. I use ponds cold cream for my first do my double cleanse. Just melts everything off, mascara too. Then I use my Simple cleanser for sensitive skin then my miscellar water.

  15. I double cleanse every night. My philosophy is the first “cleanse” is to remove my makeup. The second cleanse is the wash my skin. The transition from cleansing to moisturizing is the toner. I am currently using rose water. Final step is moisturizer and this depends on the season and climate where I live.

  16. I used ponds before but I usually just use my cerave hydrating face wash and microfiber wash cloth mostly for mascara and gently wipe my eye lashes but besides mascara I don't wear thick makeup so it doesn't take much for the face.

  17. I started double cleansing six months ago and my skin has completely cleared up! I use Burt’s Bees cleansing oil and Cerave hydrating bar. I will not however, buy Burt’s Bees cleansing oil again. It was irritating, particularly around my eyes. Thanks Dr. Dray. You have helped me SO much ⭐️

  18. I used softymo speedy one (that i saw in ur video). But when i rinsed it off with luke warm water, my lipstick DID NOT gone away. Is it possible that I'm using a fake product?

  19. is panoxyl okay to use after a cleaning balm/oil? that's the only face wash that i feel like actually works for my breakouts. but maybe with double cleansing i won't have that problem? idk

  20. im 22 years old i have been double cleansing using micellar water for over 2 years now i used bioderma micellar water pink one. recently changed to oil, i use kose softymo cleansing oil, have yet to see the result cause i only started using like few days ago. thank you dr dray for sharing your knowledge, everyday i feel smarter after watching your videos.
