  1. Hey, just found your channel and thanks for letting me know what your channel is about at the beginning of your vid. I really need these kinds of videos so I've just subscribed. I hope to see more of your stuff. 🙂

  2. what solubilizer would you recommend for a DIY moisturizing face mist which mostly has rosewater and jojoba oil in it? On the Lotioncrafters site it mentions the polysorbates are good for body or linen sprays but what about the face?

  3. Great vid . What do U recommend for unorthodox water based pomades? What would u recommend for say a single serving around 4 ounces size . What would be a good thing to use to combine the oils and waters and how much ? To prevent mold thanks

  4. So what would I use if trying to blend a little water in alot of oil? For example if I want to incorporate raw aloe gel or aloe juice in my body butter.
Thanks for this content. Your channel is one of the most informative ones on YouTube when it comes to formulating cosmetics. 🙂

  5. Hi Tara, Thanks for the great intro and information shared, i am looking at polysorbate 20 & 80, some internet info shows the ratio of solubilizer for essential oil is 1:5 while carrier oil is 1:10, is that true? what happens if your product have both essential oil and small percentage of carrier oil? hope you can help me out, thanks

  6. Hey! The fragrance oil I’m working with was made with DPG (Dipropylene glycol) and I’m having a hard time mixing it with other oils. It’s separating and sinking to the bottom of the bottle. Do you think solubilizers or emulsifiers with stop this from happening? If so, which would you recommend.

Thank you to anyone who can answer this for me.

  7. Can you use emulsifying wax in just oil mixer? because when I make my face oil I find that some of the oils separate from each other after a week or so

  8. Ii’m a little late to this party here…but I made a creamy body wash (not your recipe 😉 but after a few days my F.O. Began to separate a tiny bit- I think it’s the fragrance oil anyway. In of itself the recipe is amazing-butI REALLY like my stuff to smell good. I was gonna try a different FO; however, my question is, @TaraLee do you suggest perhaps adding a little polysorb.-20or 80 to pre3vent this in the future?
I sooooo hope you see this comment!!!!!
    XoXo

  9. Great information. I make a moisturizer hair tea spray that BTMS 25 makes too thick. I knew there had to be away of creating this blend with an emulsifier as a thinner product… polysorbates are ok for hair right??
