  1. Careful keeping these oils too long, the raw ingredients in the bottles could cause botulism. For a longer shelf life, put the ingredients that you boiled in the bottles instead of new ingredients.

  2. This would be a great way to give the gift of botulism. Skip the additions that haven’t been heated thoroughly in the oil or you’re risking making people sick. Not a huge risk but this method opens the door

  3. Great recipes but using the fresh ingredients in the bottles will introduce a source for botulism to grow, even in oil. Shelf life is generally 5-7 days unless you store in the fridge which extends the shelf life to 3-4 months. Completely dried herbs are much safer.

  4. You either infuse it in the pot, or you infuse it in the bottle.
    Infusing it in the pan and then letting it cool and putting it with RAW ingredients is just incredibly stupid. That wont last long at all.

  5. somebody..please..i need help…i love infused oils…somebody please explaine to me:

    why after i let my herbs just a few minutes into the simmering oil, when i put the oil into bottle he,s going to be not so clearly,like somekind of a mould or something like cloudy.

    i use rapeseed oil
    i have tried to simmer my herbs for more time,i used dry herbs and is the same result :((
