  1. First of all, as an Anthropologist and Bioarchaeologist, I would like to say that even having this discussion is a privilege. In many societies less fortunate than our own, the fight for subsistence is profound. People from those societies are probably grateful for any food at all, much less fussing over GMO or pesticides.
    Having said that, creating a healthier environment in our body has been the oldest way culture has prevented disease and chronic conditions…by reducing environmental insult.
    Having said that, a non neurotic sustainable approach to eating well is needed. A neurotic, extremist perspective on healthy eating will prevent the bulk of western society from making healthier food changes. For me, humanity evolved to ENJOY food, how it tastes, how it makes us feel…and too stringent of an approach inhibits our natural proclivities towards enjoyment. What helps me eat healthier is learning how to cook healthy food in a delicious way…and THAT has made all of the difference for me. Please do not demonize cinnamon buns and other foods. In survival situations, some calories, regardless of how you get them, are better than none. Unless you've been forced into a starvation situation, you can't know what that's like! But no matter what we eat, humans are evolved to have optimal amounts of physical activity, PERIOD! Eating better is awesome, eating better and moving more is exceptional…my 2 cents for what it's worth;)

The billionaires the billion dollar men a billionaires they want to depop the population so they're trying to destroy and everything that is good in the Bible talks about voting them that say good is evil and evil is good may they repent from their sins or they'll die loss and go to hell forever separated from the one who created them I pray that they may turn and repent from their sins but it sure don't look like they will but God is a merciful god he gives everybody an opportunity to repent amen

Any change different from naturally grown food fed by earths ability to have always fed the entire planet no help from man other to gather sort and eat from earths produce all else will show diseases that it’s participants will manifest in their flesh , these types of produces are both non nutritious and life threatening results are prevalent today, natural occurring food fed the earth for decades before today greed took over , over farming and the bin culture of throwing away the excess it the cause for poverty. If natural god given produces does not come from plants fed by Mother Earth stay well clear away from hybrid garbage.

  10. Just the best conversations with a great panel. I've been a foodie for many years, a plant based diet with some fish. However they are so right when they mention we cannot be perfect. A truth folks must embrace or they will feel defeated when they lower their bar. I am aware of most of this content but as a writer, i loved how each panelist expressed their parts of the convo. My biggest take-away is the realization that even though i eat pretty clean i have seen myself compromise and now i'm even more determined. The whole convo on hybridized food was so interesting. I know foods are but i learned alot anyway. I esp loved the corn convo. I've researched Maize and became obsessed with what i learned and also how the native americans used to soak the corn in milk before cooking it. Now i Must get heirloom corn to plant. I'll pause here. I feel like a panelist suddenly 🙂 I've shared this with my family. tku for a great convo

  11. I turned 69 years old last May 10. Thank God that I am blessed to have good health. I do not have any kind of health problem to this date. I do eat a small serving of fresh fruit everyday, such as mangoes, watermelon, papaya, pomelo, avocado, tamarind, cantaloupe, and anything that is in season in my country. I also eat peanuts, almond nuts, pecan nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and pitted dates. I eat greens such as cabbage, bok choy, watercress, celery, spinach, lettuce, okra, bittermelon and moringa, but not on a daily basis. I will have a slice or 2 of buttered white bread almost every other morning, and have 2 soft boiled egg every morning and a bowl of steel cut oats on other mornings. I drink water with a tbsp of apple cider vinegar 30 mins before every meal. I would have beef and pork meat once or twice a week and eat fish and chicken the rest of the week. I love yogurt, kombucha and water kefir, sauerkraut and fermented baby cucumbers. I am not concerned if I am eating organic or non organic food because organic is not readily available where I come from. BTW, I also enjoy chocolates and cake treats once in a while. I do not deprive myself of some of the guilty pleasures in life
    Thank God that I have never been really sick of anything. My mother who had about the same eating habit as mine, lived to be 90 years old. I hope that by sharing this, I could encourage someone to eat moderately and still enjoy to the fullest.
