This recipe and lots of extra are on my website:

Makes about 45 cookies:
1 and 1/2 cups olive oil or vegetable oil
3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
1 teaspoon flooring cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon flooring cloves
4 cups all function flour
zest of two oranges
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sesame seeds or flooring walnuts

Preheat the oven to 350 levels Fahrenheit, 180 levels Celsius.

Zest the oranges ahead of juicing them.
Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and orange zest in a big bowl and whisk the entire substances in combination.
In any other bowl, mix the olive oil, orange juice, water, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla extract. Whisk neatly to include all the substances.
Upload the flour combination a bit at a time whisking to mix.
When the combination turns into to thick to whisk, combine the remainder of the flour in along with your fingers.
Upload the sesame seeds and blend till blended.
At this level the dough will appear rainy and sticky.
Set it apart for five mins and it’ll come in combination and turn into an excessively pliable cookie dough.
Reduce the dough into walnut sized balls. This recipe makes about 45.
Roll the balls into logs and position onto baking sheets covered with parchment paper. Go away some room in between each and every cookie for emerging. They’ll additionally unfold reasonably whilst baking.
Bake within the oven for 15-20 mins or till the cookies turn into reasonably browned across the edges.
This is a excellent concept to additionally rotate the trays midway via baking. Transfer the ground tray to the higher rack and the highest tray at the backside. This may increasingly ensure that even baking.
Cool the cookies on cooling racks.
Serve and experience!

  1. Thank you Dimitra, I've been making them for 40years but in logs and cut and recook and so on, your recipe is so much easier and quicker and very delicious 😋 just make a big batch today. Kalo Mina and keep well , kind regards , you are a very good cook.❤️🧿🇬🇷

  2. Thanks for the recipe, they look really delicious, but please stop saying they're healthy. They're just as unhealthy as any cookie would be. They have a lot of fat and sugar. Vegan doesn't automatically mean healthy. Veganism is an ethical movement for the animals, and has nothing to do with health. Some people are plant-based, that's where the health factor kicks in, and still: these delicious cookies contain a lot of fat and sugar and therefore aren't healthier or less fattening than other cookies.

  3. Just tried making them this week. They are delicious. I actually put both walnuts and Sesame seeds in the dough before mixing. I love these cookies with walnuts and the orange and cinnamon flavors are amazing together. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

  4. Hi, live your recipes, I made these orange and almond olive oil biscuit, however I followed led the exact ingredients but the mixture in the end was too runny and hard to manage , should I have put more flour ? Thanks

  5. In Morocco there are similar biscuits, but even simpler. Just flour, sugar, salt, and plain olive oil (the one people cook with)/ other cooking oils. Don't remember there being cinnamon in them. They are pale. I was amazed, having watched them being made, that so few and simple ingredients could make such delicious biscuits (US 'cookies').

  6. Made these today, just quartered the recipe to see how they turn out, looking good in oven so far!!! Might try
veg oil next time, add walnuts and a little sesame seeds!!! Good for fasting if you use veg oil!!!
