  1. One honourable mention is the historic and natural Olive Oil soap from Aleppo known as "Saboon Ghahr". Chemistry free and still produced in the same traditional historic manner. There are other productions however the ones from Aleppo are genuine.

  2. Look first and only first to see if the mafia is in the country were they come from. Don't believe me watch 60 minutes on the extra virgin olive oil racket.

  3. The Frantoia/Leccino that Mike mentioned that was his favorite, I can't even find listed on his website? But I did find the Picual listed. Is Mike just out of the Frantoia/Leccino Olive Oil and that's why it's not showing up on his website? Or what? Help! I'd like to try it, if it's available. 🙂

  4. I loved this video and can't wait for the next. Questions for next video. Can an olive oil be rancid even if it doesn't taste or smell rancid? Is there a way to tell when you cannot taste or smell the rancidity? Can you also discuss PURE, LIGHT and EXTRA VIRGIN and what they are best used for? Thank you.

  5. How serendipitous, I had just ran out of my favourite olive oil this evening, and had to open up my "backup" California Olive Ranch bottle of oil. It was one of the last glass bottle ones and is now a "blend" from different countries. The contrast in flavour was amazing, I was so sad and disappointed with how the quality of that brand has dropped. For whatever reason when I bought it, stores weren't carrying the pure California oil, just "blends" from other countries. I usually order my olive oil from the UK from the company Belazu, which unfortunately doesn't have many distributors in the USA, but they have great products from the Middle East, including infusions such as the Fig leaf infused olive oil. I live in SoCal so I'm going to have to pay this wonderful place a visit, and I'm checking out the website right after this post. I do hope he gets some Palestinian oils in there as well. Thank you both for this great and informative video, can't wait to see the vinegar one.

  6. So much to learn about olive oils and basalmic vinegars at his store. If your local to San Jose, CA area….its located in Campbell, CA. Google it for exact location. I cant wait for the next video in this series.

  7. Thank you for informing everyone about the importance of very high quality, tastey and therapeutic olive oil , I very much like to try the award winning olive oil as well as the the therapeutic olive oil from Italy and of course I am looking forward to try Harvest peace Palestinian oil .

  8. I buy AL’ARD olive oil because it supports Palestinians. So do you ever use this type or recommend it? I am assuming the fresher it is the healthier it is so I also go to farmer markets to try and find the freshest organic olive oil I can find. I would like to make my own. Can you do a video on how to make olive oil. Lol

  9. Thanks for the detective work in 'Food Truth'. I always thought that to be pure it had to be peppery and burn the back of the throat. Mike will be getting my business. Thank You!

  10. This is great – it’s very in depth information! I get my olive oil from Canaan Fair Trade! AThey work directly with Palestinian farmers year round to ensure fair pricing and purchase guarantee. The particular oil I buy is Hurriya, because sales benefit the International (Palestinian) Solidarity Movement, which sends volunteers to Palestine for nonviolent resistance against illegal Israeli land confiscation and military occupation. ❤️🇵🇸

  11. Fantastic segment… as for OO in skincare product's, a fun fact is that prior to the Arab invention of soap, OO was used as a skin surfactant/cleanser in ancient times.
